Terms of Use

Last updated: September 12, 2026

Please read these Terms of Use (these "Terms") before using this website (the "Site"), which is operated by Sequoia Partners, LLP ("Sequoia," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. No Legal Advice

The content on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not legal advice and should not be relied on as legal advice. The content may not reflect current legal developments, may not be complete or accurate, and may not apply in your jurisdiction or to your circumstances. Do not act or refrain from acting based on anything on the Site without obtaining advice from a lawyer licensed in the relevant jurisdiction.

2. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Using the Site, reading its content, or sending us an email or other communication through or in connection with the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Sequoia. Sequoia forms attorney-client relationships only through its standard engagement procedures, including completion of a conflicts check and execution of a written engagement agreement.

3. Unsolicited Communications Are Not Confidential

Do not send us any confidential or sensitive information through the Site or by email unless we have expressly agreed to represent you. Any information you send to Sequoia before an attorney-client relationship is established will not be treated as confidential or privileged, and sending it will not prevent Sequoia from representing a party adverse to you in any matter, including the matter your communication concerns. If you are an existing client, communications relating to a matter in which we represent you may be confidential or privileged, but email and the internet are not secure, and we cannot guarantee the confidentiality of any electronic communication.

4. Attorney Advertising; Jurisdictions

The Site is not intended as advertising or solicitation, but it may be considered attorney advertising in some jurisdictions. Sequoia attorneys are licensed only in the jurisdictions identified in their individual biographies on the Site, and no attorney is certified as a specialist by any professional or governmental authority except as expressly stated. The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely on advertisements.

5. Principal Office

To the extent required by the rules of professional responsibility of any jurisdiction: Sequoia's principal office is located in Miami, Florida. Sequoia Partners, LLP is the entity responsible for the content of the Site.

6. No Guarantee of Results

The Site may describe matters we have handled or results we have obtained. Those results depended on the specific facts of each matter and do not predict or guarantee a similar outcome in any other matter.

7. Intellectual Property

The Site and its content are protected by United States and international copyright and trademark laws, and all rights are reserved. You may view, download, and print content from the Site solely for your personal, non-commercial, informational use, provided you do not modify the content or remove any copyright or other proprietary notices. No rights in Sequoia's name, logo, or other marks are granted to you.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Site in violation of any applicable law, to infringe intellectual property rights, to send unsolicited commercial email or defamatory or fraudulent material, or to interfere with or circumvent the security or integrity of the Site. Without our prior written permission, you may not use any automated tool (including any bot, scraper, or data mining tool) or any comparable manual process to copy or extract Site content, use Site content to train any artificial intelligence or machine learning model, or republish or frame Site content on another site, though ordinary hyperlinking is permitted. You may not introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code to the Site.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites for your convenience. Sequoia does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party website or its content or privacy practices.

10. Privacy

Our collection and use of information through the Site is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," and your use of the Site is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law and rules of professional responsibility, Sequoia disclaims all warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy of content, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law and rules of professional responsibility, Sequoia will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost business, or lost data, arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms, and Sequoia's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).

This limitation of liability applies only to use of the Site and does not apply to, and has no effect on, the provision of legal services to a client under a separate written engagement agreement.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on the Site. The revised Terms are effective when posted, and your continued use of the Site after posting constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law; Venue

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in the State of Florida.

15. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Sequoia regarding the Site. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision or of our right to enforce it later. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them without restriction. Section headings are for convenience only.
